More useful information about IELTS | Gevas

After a lot of work IELTS students (ages before I could really test Davies, who is a pre-cursor to IELTS!), I felt that it might be useful to some ideas that my own students, who are preparing for this test.

The next 3 posts I plan to give an overview on how to access the tests, and then look in more detail in reading, writing, and speaking and listening.

Most students must achieve a working band score of 7 or 8, and in some cases requires a group of 7 in each part of the test. This is not an easy task, and can only be successful if you have to be prepared for hard but also work smart.

If you are preparing for this exam:

How do you feel about it?
What is your experience?

Please share your thoughts in the comments below IELTS.

I?m sure that a lot of what this review said he had heard, but it is a good, and should be paid attention to.

IELTS three golden rules:

Remember, this is a test of English language ability.
The better the English language, the easier it will be to approach the test.
Focus on IELTS Practice Tests IELTS books and by itself is not the best way to prepare for the exam.

This may seem obvious, but the focus should be to improve their language skills are not tested.

Test is a means to an end not an end in itself, and the risk is to focus on the test that you can not see the wood for the trees!

ie: You may be lucky and pass the IELTS is required, but will not be ready for what comes after ? of course, work, etc ?

How do you see this advice? Do you agree?

7 other things you can do to better prepare for IELTS:

The language around. If you are an English-speaking country, it?s easy. If not, you can use the Internet.
You?ll have a chance to join the English club where you can practice speaking a regular basis (this may be a book club, a cultural exchange or interest club) ? or start one other company ?IELTS? and we have a rule ? ?only Hungarian! ?See if you can invite native speakers to give short presentations of your meetings. The value of the speech, and trying to improve fluency.
Do an English daily activities ? listening to the radio, watch a movie, read a magazine or newspaper article, a conversation in English. Whether or not there is something you are interested in, and you can get it!
Volunteer to do something where you have to speak English or before?Academic IELTS London?- reading to children in the local elementary school to help some high school students in English, etc. ? (If you live in an English-speaking country, there are many options ? go to your local library to find out.)
Join the online community. Many to choose from, try a few and see which you like. My Gapfillers are all welcome!
Practice little and often. Choose one activity at a time ? for example, reading, and really focus on during your daily practice.
Make sure that you understand why something is wrong, go through all the mistakes and learn from them. If you have a lot of errors, then perform the exercise again.
