The Day After Its $1.2B Purchase By Microsoft, Yammer Goes Down, And Up Again
Murphy's Law -- or some jaded users might just call it Yammer's law: One day after Yammer announced that it got bought by Microsoft for $1.2 billion, the enterprise social networking site has gone down. It's been down for at least an hour already and is covering several geographies, from what we can see. Update: it appears to be back up now. The crash will not do any favors to Microsoft, which plans to integrate the company into its Microsoft Office division to be part of a wider, integrated social and cloud push from the Redmond, Washington software giant.
