Comedian and Actress Yvette Wilson lost her long battle with cervical cancer Thursday evening, passing away at the age of 48-years-old.
Last month we reported about Wilson?s struggle with the disease and the fundraising effort on her behalf to pay for her mounting medical bills, but the actress best-known for her staring roles in the sitcoms Moesha and The Parkers succumbed to the disease.
Fans and colleagues have been sending their condolences via Twitter and Facebook, and her close friend and former co-star Shar Jackson expressed her grief over Wilson?s death, tweeting, ?Oh god?.. My heart is soooo unbelievably broken ?.?
Jackson went on to thank those who expressed their condolences for her friend, telling fans, ?I wanna thank all my tweeties for their prayers but god has chosen to take my sister Yvette home?..?
After attending San Jose State University in California, Wilson began her entertainment career as a stand up comic, touring the comedy club circuit before landing several on screen roles including Def Comedy Jam, House Party 3, Friday, In Living Color, Moesha, and the Parkers.?
